RCONIS Overview

  • We already introduced RCONIS in the last annual RPACT meeting
  • Meanwhile we had more than one year of great joint venture collaboration between RPACT GbR (rpact.com) and inferential.biostatistics GmbH (inferential.bio)

RCONIS Achievements during the first year

Without disclosing any confidential information, we still would like to give you a flavor of some of the projects we have been working on in the past year:

  • worked with a clinical research organization to start up their internal statistics team
  • supported a biotech company in their submission strategy
  • worked with an academic institution to analyze a rich dataset on a specific infectious disease
  • were part of a pharma company’s team to implement statistical tables and figures in R (see junco)
  • planning the whole clinical development for a new drug

RCONIS Achievements during the first year (cont’d)

  • improved methodology R packages (from rbmi, RobinCar2, glmmTMB to mmrm)
  • developed and gave trainings on joint tumor growth / survival models as well as mixed models for repeated measures
  • presented the openstatsware workshop in Tokyo, Philadelphia, Basel, Jena, and (this upcoming Friday) Paris

… and of course lots of work on rpact and RPACT Cloud!

But more on that later in much more detail.

Big news: Daniel joins RPACT as Partner!

  • In line with the RCONIS idea of combining statistical software with statistical consulting, we are very happy to announce that Daniel is joining Friedrich and Gernot in the RPACT Team!
  • Advantages:
    • Grow RPACT company to offer a wider range of services
    • Strengthen maintainer team for the rpact package
    • More capacity to work on new projects together

RPACT Company Structure

  • RPACT GbR (“Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts”) is becoming RPACT GmbH (“Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung”), i.e., a limited liability company (LLC)
  • Advantages:
    • More professional
    • Company as legal entity
  • Smooth transition:
    • No changes for you as customers
    • Contracts are still valid, same bank account, etc.

RCONIS Branding

  • RCONIS is a brand of RPACT GmbH
  • RCONIS overarches the joint venture collaboration between RPACT GmbH and inferential.biostatistics GmbH
  • Advantages:
    • Communication of broader scope beyond rpact package
    • Inclusion of other services and packages (e.g., crmPack)
    • Openness for future collaborations
